YOUTH  MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES

 Youth Vocal Choir: 5^th – 12^th Grade

The Youth Vocal Choir is open to everyone in grade 5 through high school who wants to sing and have fun! The group meets on the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th Wednesdays of the month from 6:30-6:55 p.m. in Room #7. The Youth Vocal Choir is lead by Director, Natalie Foster and Accompanist, Jeannette Parr.

Prairie Kids Music: 4 yrs. – 4^th Grade

ADULT  MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES

Chancel Choir: Adults and High School Youth

Wednesdays: 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Childcare provided for children nursery age through 4th grade.

The Chancel Choir provides musical leadership in Worship on most Sundays from September through early June.  The Choir also sings twice during the summer on the 3rd Sunday of June and July. The choir sings a wide range of musical styles that challenges them and helps them grow both musically and spiritually. The Chancel Choir presents a Christmas Cantata and a special musical presentation on Good Friday.  The Chancel Choir will present their annual Christmas Cantata (w/orchestra) on Sunday, December 12th at both the 9:00 and 10:30 worship services.

Chancel Choir rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary (Sept. – May).  The starting and ending times of Choir rehearsals aligns with the starting and ending times of our Wednesday night youth activities, so that choir members with kids will finish at the same time. The Chancel  Choir, under the direction of Don Prestly, Director of Music Ministries, is open to all adults and high school students. Childcare for children nursery age through 4th grad is available.  Please let Don Prestly know in advance if childcare is needed.

Adult Handbell Choir

Handbell Choir: Adults and High School Youth

The Handbell Choir provides music for Worship every five to six weeks from September through May. They also play once during the Summer Worship Schedule. Handbells are a perfect opportunity for people who love music and want to praise God through music but don’t sing! Being able to read music is a plus, but not required. And, no previous ringing experience is needed!!!!  We have five octaves of handbells and many go “un-rung”, so there are plenty of places for you to start ringing. The Handbell Choir rehearses on the 1^st, 3^rd and 4^th Thursdays of the month (Sept. – May) at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
