Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me…Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:35-36, 40b NRSV)

CROPS FOR PROP
People Reaching Out to Other People (PROP) is a nonprofit, multi-service organization serving children, families, adults, and senior citizens who reside in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen. PROP uses a strength-based approach to service delivery to assist our neighbors in regaining independence.
Since PROP began in 1971, its mission has been supported by volunteers and generous contributions from local businesses, civic organizations, churches, schools, and individuals.
We support PROP through monthly food collections as well as special projects like the PROP Sharing Tree to provide holiday gifts, school supplies drive and the PROP Garden at EPUMC, that supplies more than a ton of fresh vegetables annually. So long as there is no official quarantine, we will be open to receive food contributions or you can take it directly to PROP, 1400 Martin Drive, Eden Prairie.
SIMPSON HOUSING SERVICES
Each year, Simpson Housing Services provides shelter, affordable housing, and support services to thousands of men, women and children who are experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to house, support and advocate for people experiencing homelessness.
With close, individual advocacy and support, men, women and families experiencing homelessness can achieve housing stability.
Eden Prairie provides shelter meals several times a year and has hands-on giving opportunities throughout the year.
MEALS ON WHEELS
The Meals On Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest membership organization supporting the national network of more than 5,000 Senior Nutrition Programs that operate in all 50 states and U.S. territories. The tireless work of these programs - supported by a dedicated army of 2 million volunteers - delivers a nutritious meal, a warm smile and a safety check that helps keep 2.5 million seniors healthy, safe and living independently in their own homes each year.
Eden Prairie UMC provides delivery drivers.
EVERY MEAL
Since early 2018, Eden Prairie UMC has partnered with The Sheridan Story, now Every Meal, to provide weekend and holiday meals to children who receive free and reduced price lunches at a local elementary school.
RAINBOW TEAM
The Rainbow Team’s Mission is to promote a welcoming church home for our LGBTQ+ siblings, their families, friends and allies. We intentionally recognize people of all sexual orientations and gender identities as beloved children of God and offer them full participation in all the ministries of the church.
As members of the Minnesota Reconciling Congregations, we seek through outreach to encourage all United Methodist Churches to join in this mission.
